Hi all,

I found many topics about similar problems but no one with concrete answer for the curent version of IE and allvideos.

I simply want to be able to open the article where I put my videos on IE7. On Firefox 3 it works well but when I try with IE an error popup :

"IE can't open the site http://www.xxxxxxx operation aborted".

After reading all similar topics on this forum I turned off joomlacomment, I changed my template to the default one, but it didn't changed anything.

here is a link to the page :
http://www.legendes-de-nikaia.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=106&Itemid=108

As it's for an association producing movies it's quite a problem.

If it's an allvideo problem and if you have 30sec please answer ! Thanks !

I had the "operation aborted message" until I upgraded to AVP 2.5.3 now IE 7 looks to load fine. What version of the plugin are you using?

Surprisingly I did not have a problem until I added my second page with a video clip. I have a youtube with no problems. I have two articles, uncatageorized that gets the internet not able to open the internet site... error. Sometimes it works, sometimes I can refresh, very disappointing. Any help appreciated otherwise I will have to jump to another plugin.

IE7, version 2.3.5, Joomla 1.5.7, Replicant template from Rocket Theme.

Help Please - Thanks

Same problem for me. In firefox it works fine, in IE7 often errors (not always). It's really a pitty as this is the most intersting video plugin for joomla (to my view).
Hope joomlaworks (or someone else) has a solution.

you can use this code in content and publish in the frontpage:

<div><object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" style="width: 425px; height: 350px;" data="http://media.autolinedetroit.tv/daily_embed.swf?p=daily010209">
<param name="movie" value="http://media.autolinedetroit.tv/daily_embed.swf?p=daily010209" /></object></div>

Replace the 2 links with youtube link.

it works for me, no more operation aborted on IE7.
