Hi, have been reading through here / google etc and playing in joomla all night but i still cannot get the grey text box to become transparent  Angry I dont pretend to be an expert at this by any means, i am simply tring to creat a site for my parents company. I Purchased the FPSS today and was impressed with how easy it was to install and configure.... only downside for me has been the transparency issue. Can anyone offer any assistance, Setup is as follows:
Joomla Version - 1.0.12
Browser - IE7
URL: www.dfk.net.au
No other modules have been installed.... just setup joomla, popped the template in and installed the FPSS.

Any assistance would be greatly appricated - Many Thanks - Greg.

The transparency seems to be working fine however are you talking about the dark gray areas surrounding the images?

I have had more success with making my images the size I want,, uploading them to a directory and then telling fpss to use one on the server and picking it from that directory.

I have had the system resize my images and cause the same type of problem when I tell it to upload one from my local machine which is why I do it the other way.

Hi, I was not talking about the grey area around the photo... i was just trying to get it all working properly before i edit the photos to the right size etc...

I am using IE7 To view the site and the background of the text is not transparent, i cannot see the bottom of the photo. I have tried using 4 different computers all runnning IE7 and all the same...... In saying that i have noticed that during the transition the text box does become transparent for about half a second... but i want it to be that way all the time. Is this a issue with joomla / componants etc or is it browser config.. Huh?

In some of the config-files from FPSS-templates, there are extra rules(css or in php-file) for IE6 and before so they won't get the transparent-image, they'll get an extra "non-transparent" image.

Hi try this.

OPen your 'Modules' folder and then your sub-folder named 'tt' and then the file 'mod_fpslideshow.css'.  After you open the file go to link 24 and replace it with this line below:

.fpss_introtext {width:auto !important;width:100%;font-size:11px;margin:0px;padding:0px;position:absolute;bottom:0px !important;bottom:-1px;left:0px;right:0px;background:url(transparent_bg.png) !important;transparent-background:#000000;opacity:40;}

This should do the trick.  If not, email me your css file and I will modifiy it for you.

Cheers

.fpss_introtext {width:auto !important;width:100%;font-size:11px;margin:0px;padding:0px;position:absolute;bottom:0px !important;bottom:-1px;left:0px;right:0px;background:url(transparent_bg.png) !important;transparent-background:#000000;opacity:40;}

This CSS syntax is wrong by the way. I would not use it.

Regarding the supposed transparency issue you face, well... it's not. Your images are just not high enough to cover the whole available FPSS "viewport". Decrease the height value in the configuration page.  Wink

Fotis,

Why is that CSS code wrong?  What is the correct one?

Code:
transparent-background:#000000;

...is not valid.

The opacity setting will do nothing as well.  Wink
